I read that this was a scenic journey, and I sort of waited for it to get beautiful for a while...and then it was STUNNING. Worth the extra few dollars to take the train (as opposed to a bus) for this journey.

Another journey by train from Londonderry to Colerain today but still unable to see the beauty others have seen and I am very proud of our wonderful scenery in Northern Ireland. Today was grey and dismal but even in good weather it just looks like...More

And it's not just me saying that. It's none other than the intrepid, former conservative MP, Mr. michael Portillo. The train departs from the Waterside station in Duke Street, site of the famous anti- internment rally, led by internationally known MPs John Hume, Ivan Cooper...More

It may be a slow train journey, but life's too fast, just sit back, look out the window and enjoy the beautiful scenery. Whether it's looking out at the bay or at the inland cliffs, you will enjoy it

Must-do activity in the North West. Breathtaking journey along the banks of Lough Foyle, past the beautiful beaches and threw the tunnels near Downhill. Take the train all the way to Portrush if you can!!

This is a very easy railway to use and a beautiful trip. I didn't find much to do in Coleraine, though. It was fun to just take the train somewhere!

Yes you can. There is limited parking though. If not you can park in streets across the railway tracks and turn right. I know because I live in that area.

I am sorry but cannot answer that question. Left luggage tended to be a problem here in the years if the Troubles, and I do not see it much anywhere.

In Coleraine there is only a few yards from the Buses to the train. In Derry there is a free connecting service from the bus station to the train station and vice versa. For those who like to walk, it is not too far over... More
