I came here in the afternoon after reading previous reviews and have to say the new museum is first class. I was able to read at my leisure and there are some fantastic artefacts of what is a fascinating history of the siege and the birth of the apprentice boys. If you love history you wont be dissapointed!

This is a little place down the side, but wow amazing , The collection and information they have is excellent, The information they hold is some stuff from the world wars. The history of the apprentice boys is well worth reading about. We were able to go round on our own even though they would take you around them selves.... More

This museum is long over due. The material is interesting and well presented. I did it in 30 minutes but I am sure that in order to do it justice that at least an hour would be more appropriate. It is a very confusing topic even if you have grown up in Northern Ireland and it is no wonder that... More

While visiting the siege museum we were kindly shown parts of the Apprentice Boys Hall and the recent cannon find. Very interesting a special place for those in the Apprentice Boys (I am not),

I was very young when I last entered the imposing building known as the ' Apprentice Boys of Derry Memorial Hall' in Londonderry, so on my return today I was very surprised to see how much as a young traveller I had failed to notice back then. The Historic & turbulent events which took place in the latter years of... More

Tells the story of the Siege of Derry and how that led to the formation of the Apprentice Boys, an organisation that celebrates that history by holding parades/pagents several times a year

I visited the recently opened visitor centre and Siege Museum with a friend in March 2016 as walk-ins. As a Derry local, I had some knowledge about the Siege but knew very little to be honest. However by the time we left, we both felt a lot more educated about that period in the city's history. We were greeted by... More
