Peadar O'Donnels, the home of Live traditional & contemporary music in Derry. On our premises we have 3 different bars – Peadar O’Donnells, the Gweedore Bar and Gweedore Upstairs. Peadars is known throughout the world and is a must visit location for the many tourists that flock to Derry in ever increasing numbers. We are famous for, among other things, our live music which is largely organised but has regular impromptu sessions from either local musicians or visiting performers. Whichever of our bars you would like to visit, you are guaranteed a warm welcome, a good time and the best pint of Guinness in Derry!

In all 32 counties. We didn't go on a weekend, but rather a Monday night on a cold day and it was great. The music was perfect, the bartender poured a good Guinness. The bar is quintessential free Derry. Perhaps it's walls are a bit too politicized, but it makes you notice you're in Derry. If you're in town, make... More

I am led to believe that on weekends you cant move in here so it was nice to have a bit of space on a week day night. Great place to be able to chat with the locals and the traditional music was a great finish to the night. Paul the barman is an absolute legend and looked after me... More

I have to start by saying I don't drink, so I can't speak at all to the quality of the alcohol. However, this place has fantastic atmosphere! A very friendly pub, popular with locals and visitors alike, they have traditional music every night. Going here after the Halloween parade and fireworks and making some new friends was the cherry on... More

Called in a few times during a recent trip to Derry. Always buzzing, a great bar with pleasant and helpful staff. Time your visit to catch the regular traditional sessions to get the full Irish bar experience.

A night out in Ireland is always topped off with a visit to a good pub and listening to some fine music. Peader's bar does both. Music starts at 10 p.m. or a little later.

Peadar O'Donnell's is the sister bar to The Gweedore and is known for it's celtic charm. It is a traditional Irish bar that is a great favorite with locals as well as any tourists who love traditional Irish music. It has live music every night with local musicians as we as visiting performers. I spent several hours there singing and... More

Guaranteed live Irish music every night - three different sessions at week-ends apparently. Brilliant. A must visit while in Derry.

Went for a few pints and some live music last evening... Great pub! Started with Irish music... Then it seems like they have a few bands/groups during the course of the evening... Irish music restarted at 2330h till close... Lots of locals... Small busy place... As an FYI-- they do not serve food...
