The troubles are well documented in Irish history and the conclusion of the "troubles" is manifest in this power bride known as the peace bridge. Walk across its span, look back at the medieval walled city of Derry and you feel history and its power...More

Free all day parking lots across the river are great, then walk over the bridge into town. Lots to see and do in Derry/Londonderry. Wished I'd had a second day!

What it symbolizes is important, but the bridge it self is sort of ho-hum. Like many sites, it's worth seeing once but not a repeat attraction.

it is a joy to walk along the quay onto this peace bridge and continue to the Waterside. Terrific that these two parts of the city are now connected by the appropriately named peace bridge.
