Nice graveyard to wander through and building to admire, and inside the building it is rather beautiful, and there's a display window at the side so you can look at the recent archaeological dig going on in a main section of the church. Totally unexpected...More

Interesting to wander round reading the gravestones. Lots of local people sitting having picnics as weather was very good. If you like this kind of thing you could spend a day here reading stones!

I love exploring old kirkyards and cemeteries and it is always amazing how, in the middle of a buzzing city, one can find those places that set you back in time instantly and also have that calm and peaceful feel about them.

Tranquil and calm in the middle of the busy city. Lots of history in a small square. Couldn't believe I was right next to the main town. The stone entrance was magnificent!! Just watch your step

St Nicholas west kirk gives a real ..and now almost unique ... feeling of a great Scottish church in the 18th century. Could be in a Dutch old master painting with the galleries, the polished dark wood etc. Friendly welcome from the volunteers on duty.

This is an historic old building. The churchyard alone is a fascinating place with countless old grave stones and markers going back hundreds of years. It is a landmark to guide walks around the city.

Nice looking church with sheave yard in the centre of Aberdeen. Pleasant place to eat a sandwich or walk through to get between Union street and schoolholl. Architecturally it's a nice building snc the gravestones reveal local history.
