A very good reminder that freedom is costly and requires continual commitment. Something we should remember; especially given the standing of the world today.

If you've wandered of the main street and find yourself in the bowl of quiet that is Union Terrace Gardens then pop to the end and up the steps to have a look at the Wallace Statue, it's not a deal breaker but it's there....

Very easy to find just off the main street in Aberdeen, a must for a photograph and very much a majestic statue and the detail and features are excellent of William Wallace..

The Wallace monument takes Pride of Place opposite His Majesties Theatre on Rosemount Viaduct in Aberdeen. Lots of information on the panels which is interesting. Nice backdrop of the three building in granite facades, known locally as Education, Salvation and Damnation. Well worth a visit...More
