We were on a cruise tour and came to see the castle. It was pleasant, nicely kept and very well preserved.

A short walk from the centre of town. Well worth seeing. Exhibits are well displayed and interesting. Gorgeous architecture and exterior grounds. Loved it.

Really liked walking around the castle. The grounds and gardens are stunning, and we had a really good day weather wise so was able to walk around for a while. The tearoom isn't as good as I thought it was going to be. Very overpriced...More

Visited as part of a group tour. Although rushed due to tour itinerary schedule,It was interesting walking through the castle and seeing the robes. Overall, I felt had my time been allocated to tour, I believe I would have enjoyed myself more.More

Were a bit pushed for time when visiting here so didn't get to walk around much. Grounds are lovely and I suspect there were nicer and longer walks we could have done. Didn't go into the castle or gardens but the tea room is lovely...More

Unfortunately the castle was closed but you are still allowed to walk in the grounds. And on s nice crisp day it was beautiful. There is a walk that takes you up to the tower ..we managed half way but will come back to go...More

My memory is that you paid as you entered the parking lot. Not sure if you could enter the grounds for a lower price or not. I will say the interior is amazing and worth the price!
