If you’re after a super-slick, homogenized cruise then St Hilda’s Sea Adventures may not be for you. But if you’re after charm, authenticity and the occasional mini ‘adventure’ when planning goes awry then book a trip now! We spent 8 nights onboard St Hilda herself with smashing fellow guests and the multi-talented Christophe and Jenna. Loch Aline, Loch Drumbuie, Rum. Canna (our favourite), Loch Scavaig, Eigg and Tobermory. We hoisted the sails several times, explored ashore, kayaked, went loopy over playful dolphins which appeared at the bow several times and were always exceptionally well fed by Jenna. What she can produce with limited cooking and storage facilities is nothing short of miraculous. Bravo!

Never having made a boat-trip of this kind before, we chose a short cruise on the St Hilda, mainly around Mull, calling at Iona and Tobermory and passing the Treshnish Islands. There were just five passengers and two crew on the boat. Although the weather was very changeable and there were some big waves to ride, we enjoyed every moment, whether sunny or stormy. Christophe was an amiable and knowledgeable skipper, and Kerry served us consistently tasty meals. They really made the trip special for us. The other passengers were good company, and - above all - the wonderful scenery and glimpses of sea creatures (both in the wild and in the Tobermory aquarium) made this a holiday we will always remember - and I would love to repeat!

Traveling with this company was a delight from first contact with the delightful Colette and later equally delightful Julie. Sailing on Seahorse 11 with Skipper Peter, Bosun Leo and Cook Andrea was a truly fantastic experience. They winched my electric wheelchair on board and when landing was not possible I went out on the tender for personalised trips with Leo. Meals were generously portioned and fantastically cooked by Andrea as were the gorgeous morning and afternoon temptations. Peter was a friendly Skipper telling us each day of the expected weather and itinery. The scenery and wildlife were the icing on the whole wonderful experience. As a disabled and solo female traveler in my 60's I highly recommend this fantastic company and most especially Seahorse 11 which I will be saving up to repeat the experience again

We took a whisky and wildlife tour on the Seahorse. The attentive and skilled crew made this a remarkable and memorable trip. Seamanship, passenger care and food were all superlative. This is not a fancy cruise liner, but a rapidly improving work in progress. Whisky, good company, seals, dolphins and seabirds . Old stone ruins against some of the world's most beautiful scenery.
