Mabie has few facilities - the bike shop is now closed, there’s no cafe and we didn’t find a bike wash. This is perhaps that the car park is a little way asay from the magic of the trails and there appeared to be little...More

As quite outdoorsy folk we were delighted with the mountain bike trails at the 7 stanes. Well laid-out and sign posted and with a fairly accurate difficulty rating. The staff in the rental shop were more than helpful ensuring that we enjoyed our experience despite...More

My husband is an experienced mountain biker and regular comes here with friends so we thought it would be good to bring our 6 year old here for her first proper trail. We followed the green route and we stopped off en-route for our picnic....More

A great location for walking and Mountain Biking, has nice family trails, good greens and blues. Red trails is flowing with some technical features, but not a huge number ( not recommend for small children. Or basic skill level riders) Will revisit

Had the pleasure of recently walking through Mabie forest on a trip to Dumfries. We chose the longest brown circular route and wasn't disappointed. Strenuous at times but in all a lovely 5 1/2 mile walk. Our dog loved it and we didn't see another...More
