Even though the castle was closed, we were very happy with our visit to the gardens. They are so terribly well-kept and so beautiful in their symmetrical design. Worth while to visit, even when the castle itself was closed.

A beautiful Castle set in even more beautiful natural surroundings, the views across the local countryside are magnificent. Entry to the Castle is by Guided tour only and the guides are very knowledgeable. Very well worth a visit.

Fantastic place to visit but please note the Castle is open only for tours and for a limited time during Summer. Well worth the visit though. Stunning grounds & gardens, fab play park for kids & delicious food in the cafe.

If you wish to park at the Castle then yes there is a facility charge of £6 per person. If you wish to access other parts of the Estate and enjoy our walks then there would be no charge. We hope that this helps.
