A great tour of Edinburgh with our own private guide Peter!! Great that a Scottish guy is giving the tour of such a wonderful city! Picked up from our accommodation and brought through Edinburgh old and new... Great to get insider stories, tales of good and bad and a great insight to the city and how it was formed to... More

I had the great pleasure of being guided through Edinburgh already twice by two different guides of S&S Tours. Both times I had a great experience, one time with a group of my students. In spite of Scottish autumn weather, the students and I enjoyed the tour tremendously. The guides lead me with most interesting facts, anecdotes, stories and many... More

We had a great tour. Peter's knowledge of his city, its history and legends is extraordinary. He's great at avoiding the crowds and seeking out interesting sites and stories off the beaten track. A lovely man and a very worthwhile tour.

We thought we knew Edinburgh pretty well having stayed here on numerous occasions. However, our guide Peter's knowledge and enthusiasm for the history of the city provided a greater understanding how Edinburgh has arrived at what it is today. We visited parts of old & new town that we have never seen before. In summary it was a superb walk... More

Having been to Edinburgh many times before, expectations were for a few tidbits and lots of fodder. Quite the contrary, Peter delivered huge amounts of new insight that put a wonderful light on Edinburgh and impressed a full time skeptic traveler like myself. Bravo! Well done. Strongly recommended for anyone who wants to learn from a real local who has... More

I went on a group tour led by Peter. It was very enjoyable and informative. We stared in the Old Town and ended in The New Town. Even though I had been to Edinburgh before, I learned a lot from Peter's stories.

Really enjoyed this tour! Definitely worth doing when you first get to Edinburgh. It helps you get your bearings and understand the history of the city. Just make sure you have enough time because it is two and a half hours. Our guide Peter was fantastic. He was incredibly informative and gave us insights in to the lives of the... More

We booked this tour through the Fringe festival site and had a wonderful tour guide, Peter, who took us through both old and new Edinburgh. He was a great storyteller and historian with a true love for this city. I would highly recommend this tour or any others that Peter leads!

We booked a private 2.5 hour walking tour with Peter for our first full day in Edinburgh, but the time flew by. We started off in the Old Town section of Edinburgh and made our way through the Old and then the New Town parts of the city. Peter was extremely knowledgeable. We learned so much about how people lived... More
