Lovely long stretch of gold sands. A great place to go for a walk/cycle/run in any season with a few good coffee/lunch pit stops. The Espy in particular is lovely although other establishments also looked good - we just didn't have time to try them...More

Always worth a trip on a nice day. Decent cafes along the prom and a very pleasant walk that you can make circular via the High Street.

I dont think it's worth spending your time, Edinburgh has too many beautiful places in which you will not regret having visited.

This is one of the best beach in UK because of its wide sand play areas and loads of cute dogs coming here for a stroll. Food and Bar options are available on the Promenade and long walks are fun!

Easily accessible via the number 26. It is a beautiful beach, despite the chill of a Scottish summer day. My daughter swam in the sea, but I'm afraid I wasn't brave enough. The Arcade is typically retro and we enjoyed the 2p slot machines. Pack...More

This is a favourite beach for many locals and tourists alike and evey time we come to Edinburgh we bring our dog here. There are always dogs and many people even when the weather is wintry and yesterday was no exception. The sandy beach is...More

We visited the local fish and chips takeaway and went down to Portobello beach to eat and watch the waves. Busy beach with lots of joggers, dog walkers and even though the Firth of Forth is icy cold a few sea swimmers. Beach was clean...More
