We had visited this excellent park a couple of years ago and as we were back in the area we thought it would be a good place to let our little dog have a leg stretch. We approached via the same entrance we used last time to be faced with 'No Entry' signs, the next 20 minutes was spent driving... More

My twin grandsons had a lovely time playing here and then we had drinks and cake in the coffee shop.

6 of us turned up on Saturday and the main cafe were amazing, the service was outstanding and the food great. The smaller cafe was very busy and chaotic.

We had one of the best Caesar Salads I've had away from home. Plenty of succulent chicken, marinated anchovies, fresh crisp lettuce with a good dressing and crisp pancetta. The place was very busy as the schools are on holiday but the service was good and brisk with minted water with ribbons of cucumber immediately placed on the table as... More

Having visited the park previously there were lots of slides within the woodland. The upgrade is certainly aimed at younger children as the 9 and 11 year old boys quickly became bored with the lack of slides...the treehouse is good and well built and plenty of areas to picnic. £5 to get into the park is okay if plenty to... Visited for the first time with family (who have been before) Really lovely huge country park to enjoy lists of routed walks. Also has a big playground/fort for children. Adults are free to access but kids are between £3-£5 dependant upon age. Worthwhile though as you could spend hours in the play area! The park also has a good restaurant... More

We have recently visited The Restoration Yard at Dalkeith Country Park. The store has some wonderful eclectic items, very high end, reminded me of Liberties. This place has been restored beautifully, it is so tastful. The resturant is very good, I have enjoyed salad twice in the last few weeks. It also has a great food market, lovely items to... More

Great fun, lots to do, lovely cafe, restaurant and court yard. Everyone enjoyed it including from my 2 year old to my 15 year old. Only thing I would change is they have taken away the flying fox zip line and the huge slide how ever there is another covered slide which is pretty fast and fun
