Took the family yesterday, yes its on the small side but does have a very good range of animals and fish, favorite was the penguins! We did make it there about lunch time and saw a great deal of talks in the afternoon, which the...More

Visited today as heard the Aquarium had be done up. However it hadn't been since our visit last year. When we arrived there was a terrible smell, which did not go. It was so strong we couldn't stay in Aquarium. Heard lots of other visitors...More

We welcome all reviews good or bad so long as they are accurate. Sadly this one isn't. Since the reviewer's visit last year we have built an entire new Amazon room in a six figure project. There's 9 new exhibits: including new frogs, a new...More

Went there as a family as my sister wanted to go! 3 adults and 4 children ranging from age 5-13. It was alright but not overly big and I didn't personally find it great value for money. When we went it was raining so didn't...More

Thank you for your review and I'm sorry you didn't feel that your visit was value for money. We try very hard to pack as much in as we can and we make sure to do lots of talks and feedings throughout the day. August...More

Was a bit concerned going in as we had a voucher for feeding the meerkats and thought it would be full of children and as 2 adults we would be very out of place without any children. It was a Friday afternoon in the school...More

Thank you for your kind review. Glad you enjoyed feeding the Meerkats; it's a rather special experience and not something many folks get the chance to do. "give that woman a payrise!" If it was up to me I'd give all the keeping team a...More

Looking for a good place for a drink and a snack or meal in St Andrews, look no further. The only downside is the tables are a little close together but the food is good quality and good coffee. Pleasant staff in the shop.

Thank you for your review. It's something we often don't think about or make a big fuss about- Our Coffee Shop is freely open to everyone and you do not need to visit the aquarium to use it.

My two children (age 6 and 8) and I visited the aquarium on the weekend. It looks a bit small on the outside, but they have really managed to get most out of the space. It is divided into amazone area, tropical marine and cold...More

Thank you for your nice review. We have tried really hard to fit lots into the space we have and it's nice that you noticed. The talks and handling sessions are my favorite bits too; it's not everyday that kids get that close to reptiles....More

Went in very optimistic and came out just as sad and depressed as half of the aquarium. The seals, penguins and meerkats looked so unhappy and it made me feel sorry for them, they did not belong there! I kept looking for signs that would...More

Thank you for your review; zoos are not for everyone and you are entitled to your opinion. Had you attended our talks you would have heard all about what the Seals, Penguins and Meerkats are doing here. For the seals in particular they can either...More

So, I managed to get a cheap ticket to the aquarium, can't remember what I paid but approx half price for a family of 4. We are a family of 5 so needed to pay the £8.59 extra for another child... I should say, probably...More

I'll start by saying that maybe my expectations were too high having paid £11 entry per adult. But then it is St Andrews, and tourism tends to increase prices. I found it really dingy in here. The tanks looked small and many had dirty glass....More

Thank you for your review. Expectations are a tricky thing to manage and you are probably right: £11 is a bit cheap for a gigantic aquarium; we are on a much more modest scale. We aim for our visitors to spend a couple of hours...More

I had a long hard think about this review before I posted it and have read the managements responses to other comments also. It's smaller than I expected, tanks seem to be tiny - while they may indeed be checked over annually they still seem...More

Thank you for your review and the thought that went into it. You are correct compared to the wild our animals do live in small enclosures. However, compared to other zoos and aquariums they live in very large enclosures which are scaled to hold far...More

Your entry fee is included in the price of the feeding experience...any other visitors would need to pay however.
