Made our way up to Cambo to have a walk down to the beach and back up the glen . Layer upon layer of snowdrop sat our feet looked a treat in the pleasant sunshine.also clumps of dwarf iris and helebores . We had a look at the walled garden and the new Greenhouses just waiting to be commissioned particularly... More

We were a little underwhelmed by Cambo. You can't get into the house and the snowdrops were, well, just snowdrops - nowhere near as many as I had imagined (no white carpets in the woods) - and whilst I'm sure it's really interesting that there are so many varieties, after about 10 I rather lost interest.

Saw a advert for a snow drop walk and thought my children would like it. Arrived too late for the welly walk. But had a great day and i never knew there were so many types of snow drops. We walked around 3miles around the eastate and the beach my dog had a swim in the sea. The haighlight of... More

Visited for the first time this week and was really impressed. The garden layout is beautiful and although it was early in the season, the snowdrop lined paths were very pretty and great to stroll along. The walled garden was a highlight and showed the promise of things to come. I particularly liked the unexpected sculptures. The gift shop is... More

Went with my wife and dog to see the snowdrops and enjoy the gardens, and have a spot of lunch - but this didn't happen! We paid £5.50 each for entry but was very disappointed because we found the staff were all busy doing gardening things, and reluctantly sold us tickets, didn't know where the toilets were and generally let... We had heard so much about the Cambo Estate, especially the snowdrops. We popped in while staying in St Andrews. The estate is in rather a transition phase at the moment with massive developments on the go. Consequently, it seemed like they weren’t expecting many visitors, to the point where we struggled to find someone to pay our entrance fee... More

This garden is worth a visit by all plant lovers. The Prairie Garden was at its best. The plants thrive with no staking and to see their movement in the wind gives another dimension. The Walled Garden is vast and although it is towards the end of the season there is still plenty of variety and colour. It was nice... More

Visited with my wife and Labrador. The walled gardens are beautiful and worth seeing. Then went on the woodland walk with our dog which was very relaxing and Oscar (our dog) really enjoyed it. Ended up in the cafe for a drink. Dogs are allowed in just about all areas including the cafe. Very pleasant visit👍

The two acre (?) walled garden is quite stunning for the depth, variety and longevity of the plantings. A beneficial microclimate enables a huge range of plants to prosper. It's clearly not a finished thing. There are mature areas, some ripe for sorting, and some that are being sorted. I'm not a horticulturalist, my partner is, but even I was... More
