From the reviews I read I was of the impression it was free unless you want a guided tour but this is not the case. £6 or £3 concession. We enjoyed it unfortunately the steep steps were too difficult for my friend to manage. I...More

Four of us thoroughly enjoyed our guided tour of the reconstructed house as designed by Mackintosh. Our guide was well informed and, although restricted by the strict allocation of 30 minutes for the tour, allowed us time to experience being in the house. I would...More

An unusual location but once inside one forgets that it is a recreation and you find a real insight into Macintosh's life.

The mock up of the house is very good; we gained a real feeling of their amazing talents. The visit was made superb by the incredibly well informed and passionate attendants on every floor - they were all fascinating and also knew when to stop!...More

The House is a fine example of many of Mackintosh's areas of skill. The building is great but the use of light and space too is a revelation

Charles Rennie and Margaret MacDonald Mackintosh home. Authentically rebuilt a couple of hundred yards from the original. A must see if this work is up with your favourite designs. Downside...no pictures allowed....

Expensive, but well worth the visit, the designs and furniture are out of this world. Housed in a new building as the original house was demolished.

If you are an admirer of Mackintosh / MacDonald then these excellently recreated interiors will impress. One of our favourite Glasgow attractions.

Especially visited the Mackintosh House whilst I was in Glasgow, was not disappointed. All the rooms were special, lots of little details to lookout for; the stunning master bedroom and the guest room were my personal favourites. I arrived for the first tour of the...More
