Fantastic Gallery

One of my favourite places in Glasgow. So much to see and best of all, it's free entry although I always give a donation

Museum has a lot of interesting artefacts. From an architectural point, one of my favourite buildings in Glasgow.

There is an extensive display of Alphonse Mucha,s work in the basement. There is a cost of £5:concessions and teens over16 £3; under 16s FREE. The work of Mucha is breath taking. The rest of the museum and art gallery is well worth a visit with activities for young children available

I love the Kelvingove museum for many reasons. First, the building is gorgeous as is the architecture inside. Second, the museum has plenty to see and do for all ages. Lastly, for art lovers there is so much to see. I particularly love the Macintosh exhibit and the Christ of St. John of the Cross painting by Dali. The cafe... More

Excellent art gallery and museum. One of the galleries was closed for refurbishment during my visit but will reopen this month and it didn't spoil the visit in any way. Like nearly all museums and galleries in Scotland entry is free. I combined the visit with one to the Riverside Museum of Transport and had a great day out.

Friends took us to this great museum and we really enjoyed it not only because of the Dali's Christ of St. John of the Cross. You can spend hours here marvelling at the exposed objects and paintings, have snack in the cafe, dine in the restaurant or eat your sandwiches in the packed luncheon area. We definitely will visit again.

We visited Glasgow to attend the Mucha exhibition which I would strongly recommend. In addition, we revisited some old friends such as the Glasgow Boys and the Art Nouveau/Mackintosh gallery. To cap it off, as it was a Sunday afternoon, there was an organ recital! It is great to see such a gallery so well attended.

A fabulous place to visit for all the family. Make sure you see the Dali and other masterpieces and get yourself a seat in the main hall for the organist at 1pm. Good food reasonably priced down in the basement restaurant too
