Merchant City is the upmarket part of Glasgow City Centre. Lots of expensive shops to look at including The Italian Centre. Plenty of lively bars and restaurants too. Merchant Square is undercover and well worth a look around.

Great spot for a few drinks and food, and only a 10min walk to the Barrowlands if you're off to a gig

Pints are too expensive, the music is by and large total nane and the people are yuppies. Decent food mind you and the birds are classier than on bath street
