We look for him each visit. He is always there wearing his orange traffic cone. This is an institution attraction in Glasgow at George Square. This area is filled with restaurants and pubs, a center square for gatherings and people watching. It is a safe...More

Spend any time in Glasgow and you will pass this. Not impressed at all. I get it, it just tries too hard to be clever. The statue and building front could have been much better. Just looks cheesy.

This is an iconic statue and should be added to the "a guy in the pub told me" story of what a horse statue means when a leg is raised... when it has a cone, you're in Glasgow my lad!

Love the hat on the statue, and am so sorry when it is periodically removed! It's fun, and very Glasgow - great!

Of course this iconic statue is a must see as it has made it's way into so much of image of Glasgow. The history and it's presence in front of the now Modern Art Museum are a special story.

I honestly have no idea why there is a statue of the Duke of Wellington in Glasgow. But, it is on the 'must see' list and was on our tour of the city. About a block away is a lovely city park full of statues of more famous... More
