    Very enjoyable
A Scottish friend took a day and drove so we could visit the distillery before heading back home the next day. Was very much worth the drive as was fun, informative, educational and a beautiful setting. Our guide was very organized, clear and entertaining as well. We also enjoyed the tasting and we’re pleased to be offered another taste of a different whisky in the shop to help us make a purchase. If visitors only have time to visit one distillery, this one is a great choice because of the charming setting and great job they do.
Thank you for taking the time to leave us such a great review. We are so pleased to hear that you enjoyed your recent visit! Thanks again.

    Great tour and tasting
Had a wonderful tour of Glengoyne with Rebecca as our guide. I’m not a whiskey drinker so I was more interested in the process rather than the tasting. Rebecca however showed us the proper way to enjoy our tasting and we ended up buying an 18-yr Scotch to take with us!! Enjoyed the experience.
Thank you for your fantastic feedback, I will certainly pass this on to Rebekah and the rest of the team. Enjoy the 18YO, slainte!

    First class
We visited Glengoyne Distillery on Sunday 14th May. The staff were very friendly and courteous. We went on the tour with the guide Benny. He was very knowledgeable and was open to any questions being asked. It was a surprise to find out he is related to the original owners of the distillery. We would definitely recommend this tour.
Hi Barry, thank you for your brilliant review! I will pass on your lovely comments to Benny and the rest of the team. Thanks again.

    Top notch tour
My first distillery visit and it was a great one. The site has a beautiful infrastructure, packed with history. The staff was very welcoming and I received a very decent elaboration from the tour guide. I got the opportunity to taste some quality whisky, and I couldn't help but have a quick stop at the distillery shop. Afterwards I went for a long walk to enjoy the surrounding area. There couldn't be a better way to spend the last day of my trip.

    A fun experience!
Never been a fan of scotch but something convinced me to sign up for this tour on our recent Scotland trip. Turned out to be a very pleasant surprise. The distillery tour was interesting and especially well done. The female guide kept things moving along thru the entire production process and eventually to tasting. It was late AM and I had been a bit concerned on a morning nip but it was really a load of fun and Glengoyne unlike other scotch I have had is not sickeningly sweet. If you are in the neighborhood, sign up for the tour!
Thanks for taking the time to leave us some great feedback! We are delighted to hear that you enjoyed your time at Glengoyne.

A terrific time in the Teapot
I knew that the silent season meant a tour with a difference and that it would be a new experience for me. The distillery is in a wonderfully scenic setting yet really close to Glasgow. I booked for the Teapot tour and tasting as a birthday treat for myself, and the whole experience was brilliant. The tour was interesting, touching on the origins, the influence that Glengoyne had over whisky making in Scotland, and an understanding of the long view that has to be taken. The whiskies chosen to precede the teapot dram (12yo and 21yo) are perfect to demonstrate how much maturation influences the spirit. The teapot dram itself was a revelation: spicy, fruity, lively: a lovely dram and (of course) I had to buy a bottle. A great time and (as always) the people at Glengoyne impressed with their knowledge and friendliness.
Hi Derek, thank you so much for taking the time to leave us such a great review. We are pleased to hear that you enjoyed the Teapot Tour and Tasting! Thanks again.

    Great place for whisky tasting!
We booked a last minute visit to the distillery yesterday as we were staying locally and we were so pleased we did! We had the tasting tour for 5 people and were led by Lorna, she gave us lots of interesting information about the whisky making process at Glencoyne and importantly, taught us how to properly taste whisky! I was driving so was able to take my whisky home to drink later, everyone had a great time and Lorna was a perfect host! We would highly recommend the experience!
Thank you for your brilliant feedback, I will certainly pass this on to Lorna and the rest of the team! Thanks again.

    A brilliant tour!
When we arrived we were greeted at the car park, and had our own personal crossing guide (the car park is on the other side of the road to the distillery) who had pressed the button so we walked straight across the road, then after buying tickets for the tour and tasting, another guide took us round to the start of the tour, where we were again passed to the tour guide! The welcome process was immaculate, warm and friendly. Then our tour guide, Rebecca, gave us one of the most interesting guides of a distillery we have been on. As it was summertime the distillery was closed for building and maintenance works, but even so, the tour lacked nothing. Rebecca was a great guide, informative with a good sense of humour, and connected excellently with our group. Without giving anything away, even without the tour of the working distillery we learnt more about the whisky making process and history of whisky than we already knew. Also the tasting part of the tour taught us what to look for when tasting whisky to make sure we know if we’re drinking a good complex whisky or not! Slàinte Mhath!
Hi Arthur, thank you for taking the time to leave such a detailed review. We are so pleased to hear that you enjoyed your recent visit at Glengoyne! I will pass on your comments to Rebekah and the rest of the team. Thanks again.

    Glengoyne as it’s best
We enjoyed the basic tour and tasting. Very warm welcome. Small group of 8 people. Lois was very Kind, informative and explained the „ story“ in a way that also non experts could follow easily. Explanation during the tasting very nice. Very good to refilll the residues in small bottles for taking them home ( excellent for the drivers )

    Interesting and fun
This was a great place to visit. Our tour guide Robert was highly knowledgeable and very entertaining as he explained the process of whiskey production. The tour of the distillery gives full visibility (and smell!) to everything, and a good understanding of how this stuff is made. It ends with a tasting of the 10 and 15 year old Glengoynes. My children (10 and 12) were given squash so they didn't feel left out. The shop is well stocked and tour participants benefit from discounted prices. I think we spent about an hour and a half there. It was interesting and fun. Would recommend.

The tour around Glengoyne was one of the better tours I have been on. The guide Vivienne was enthusiastic and knowledgeable. Master blending extra is worth it if you can.

What an excellent experience. The staff were friendly, knowledgeable and so enthusiastic about the products. They took their time to explain and to answer any questions. The displays were excellent and really supported the tour experience. We will never forget the story of the drunken angels!
And, of course, we loved the whisky!
Lovely, well stocked shop at the end with more delightful staff.
A tasting to remember.
Thank you.

We visited as a family with one wheelchair user and were very pleased with the tour provided although it was not as extensive as the full one. Our tour guide, Ellen, was very personable and friendly and took time to go over the distillery and the processes. She was knowledgeable and and answered our questions well. We had the chocolates with three whiskies tour and found the tasting helpful in enjoying the different ones offered and how the chocolate enhanced the flavours. All together a very pleasant experience and well worth the time and expense. Highly recommended.
