Had a couple of outpatients operations here. Skin cancer, nasal polyps and cateract. Found all the staff to be nothing short of brilliant, lovely people. Consultants were great and really understanding. Building was lovely and did not have that old hospital smell etc. Parking can be a problem but that is a sign of the times. Would prefer not to... I've recently had the misfortune of visiting this hell hole to deal with illnesses for both my father and father-in-law so have got to know the place relatively well. The plus points are that it has a decent sized car park right across from the entrance. The staff, as you would expect, are helpful and also willing to assist. However,... More

Appalled by the lack of compassion that the female oncology consultant had at the New Victoria Infirmary, Glasgow (November 2012). My husband needed treatment for cancer and she had made up her mind that his 'quality of life' was poor and she decided he wouldnt be getting treatment. "Look at you, sitting in a wheelchair" she said to him, as... More

Food was average, the staff where pleasant , only one thing i did not like was the male surgeons sexual advances to then be told it was an extra and not part of the NHS package.

The BFM was jogging past the Victoria Infirmary in Glasgow and was struck by the old Victorian and majestic building that is the Victoria Infirmary and what a grand specimen of Victorian architecture. I'm only commenting on the architecture and NOT the service within. If you are a traditionalist then the new building will not be appealing. If you are... More

My lovely Mother passed away in this filthy hospital. I have pictures of blood stained tissues under beds etc. Lack of care and knowledge of medical staff and when my Mother passed away we were put into the corridor with no respect or words of comfort. Have informed GGC and MPs of this situation. Should not be happening in our... More

My husband has attended various outpatient departments since the 'new' Vic opened. On each occasion his appointment time was kept and the staff have proved friendly and very efficient. I attended the drop in centre recently and again after waiting a short time saw first a nurse and then a doctor, both very efficient. As you enter the main building... More

Had misfortune to attend both old and new hospitals. Old one had a more traditional style patient/ward/doctor relationship whereas new hospital clinical, stark and lot of walking to get to Clinics. Treatment successful, however, no immediate after care arrangements. Out patient service run competantly, very seldom waiting longer than appointment time to be seen. Big plus- FREE UNDER AND OVERGROUND... More

The GP's are good there but building requires huge modernisation. There are some good staff members but there are have been incidents where hygene problems existed.
