We picked up a tour leaflet at the main gate and made our own way around the University. Wonderful buildings to see especially the Gothic arches and quadrangle areas. Interesting history to find out as you tour the site

The Hunterian Museum alone was worth the visit. But the building and courtyard and chapel all convey the history and beauty of old Glasgow. It is near the Kelvingrove Museum of Art; a great combined activity for the day!

The university was a quick subway ride from Buchanan Street and offered a scenic walk with interesting achitecture, a museum, and bookstore. Would definitely recommend strolling the entire area with University, Kelvingrove park and museum.

A beautiful trip out for a Bank Holiday. The campus is historic and ancient with a real feel on every corner, such amazing architecture coupled with modern and stylish grounds.

Take a short 10 minute walk down the hill to Byres Road or Ashton Lane, which is a more boutique dining experience, and eat there. Just tell the server you want separate checks before you order. Hope this helps Bob
