Lived in Glasgow all my life and I always enjoy a wee trip to the uni, stunning views and a stunning building, sometimes I wished I studied there!

Truly wonderful! They do guided tours, but you can just wander around alone and take in the views and architecture. Also check out the Hunterian Museum upstairs. That is not to be missed!

We took the walking tour - highly recommend it. Our guide (a student) was knowledgeable and entertaining. We toured the original campus (still being used) and were able to learn a lot about Scottish architecture, culture and history.

Take a short 10 minute walk down the hill to Byres Road or Ashton Lane, which is a more boutique dining experience, and eat there. Just tell the server you want separate checks before you order. Hope this helps Bob
