Not that I am biased.....but Glasgow Uni produces the creme de la creme of graduates. Just look at Gerard Butler.....left Glasgow with a Law Degree. I followed in his footsteps, haven't quite mastered the same fame and fortune though.... This building is beautiful, and free to walk through. Just like Hogwarts, great architecture

Not only is this a friendly, welcoming university to visit (as well as a very busy one) but it's a fascinating place given it is the 3rd oldest university in the UK.

Glasgow University has some splendid architecture in many different styles from Gothic to Art Deco. The Hunterian Museum, Scotland's oldest museum, is housed here and has a good selection of artefacts to keep you occupied from a couple of hours on a rainy day. the museum is much quieter than the other nearby museum, the Kelvingrove.

The campus is beautiful and worth a visit to walk around the grounds. But as student I would not recommend going to study there if you are in Education. The building is old and run down, and the teaching quality is very poor and over priced tuition for what you get.

As one of the oldest universities in the world, it doesn't hurt to have a swing through the grounds. If you can spare a bit of cash I recommend taking the tour.
