Rated 5 stars by VisitScotland, providing programs of entertaining Science theatre, Planetarium, and around 300 hands-on interactive science exhibits over three floors, to introduce science to everyone. Interaction distinguishes GSC, very few exhibits in glass cases and many opportunities to participate in Science. Included workshops and shows are a highlight, ranging from shadow puppets for youngsters to computer coding, robotics and ethical hacking for adults. "BodyWorks" examines the science behind human health and well-being, "Powering the Future" the future challenges and solutions in our energy-hungry world, and the digital planetarium allows visitors to 'leave earth' and travel through the cosmos. Science Mall admission includes free workshops and shows, with add-on charges of £3.00 for access to the Planetarium. A shop and cafe are free to access. Schools and outreach programs extend the Centre's work into the community. The Centre is a registered charity with surpluses returned to the education mission. Car parking and public transport links or a 15 minute walk along the Clyde from the City centre. The adjacent IMAX cinema is now operated by Cineworld.

Really great venue and far better in my opinion than Dynamic Earth in Edinburgh. This is a very well thought out and run attraction and is definitely recommended.

The Glasgow Science Centre is a great place to visit for both adults and children. My daughter really enjoyed all of the hands on exhibits and I was impressed with the variety of exhibits, math puzzles and interactive games and I particularly enjoyed the section on the universe, some really interesting facts.

Coming here during the week worked nicely for as as despite a few school groups we had easy access to everything. All of the exhibits are clear, fun and extremely engaging for all ages. My son (age 8) had his favourites and my husband and I had our favourites but we found everything interesting at some level. The staff were... More

This is a lovely place to visit specially with kids as there are many interactive exhibits where the kids get involved and tries to understand the science behind it. You need to have ample time to spend to go through all the floors. A must see place.

Even for adults, the hands-on exhibits are a lot of fun, and there's a huge variety; from games and mathematical puzzles, to examining X-rays and trying to control your own brain waves. The view from the top (human body) floor is very impressive too! Alas I didn't have time for any of the special areas, but the 'science mall' alone... More

This is an amazing venue set over three floors of interactive exhibits. My favourite was the third floor with the discovery your body display. Also loved the planetarium and seeing the different constellations pointed out. Amazing to see our planet as astronauts have seen it. Really enjoyable day, only wish we could have stayed to see the 3D cinema. Will... More

This place is great fun for kids and adults. You can get up close to all exhibitions and it is a real interactive learning experience. Staff are fun and friendly. There is a café and also a space to each your own lunch if preferred. The planatrium was a little disappointing.

I attended the Science Centre with a group of Brownies as part of an organised event involving a sleepover in the centre, in partnership with Girlguiding Scotland. It was one of the best experiences of my life, and truly fantastic for the girls who took part. All staff were helpful, knowledgeable and pleasant, and the experience was one I would... More
