Our visit was sadly a short one, but on a crisp and bright February day, it was enough time to admire the main house walk along the waterside and spot some cattle. A delighful oasis between town and country, with so much for me to...More

This beautiful stately home charms because of its graceful proportions, well-preserved interiors, excellent collection of (mainly Spanish) paintings (the best unfortunately in storage because of renovation, as of December 2018) and the gorgeous country park setting. Very nice tea rooms/restaurant serving delicious food, including very...More

As a local I visit often. I love all seasons to enjoy different atmospheres and the highland coos are always there. Not just trees. There's everything from flowers and vegetables to giant mushrooms and waterfalls.

A wonderful park at any time of year - formal gardens and parkland strolls, riverside and woodland walks, Highland cattle and heavy horses, look round Pollock House (for a small charge) and have a snack in the atmospheric original kitchens. The estate is large and...More

We drove all over Scotland and I was a bit disappointed I wouldn't see the cows until we found this place. The cows are friendly and curious and we had the place to ourselves. Hidden gem!

yes, you can just visit the tea room within Pollk House. It's in the restored kitchen of the estate house and serves lovely lunches and cakes. On a nice day you can also sit out in the garden terrace. try it!
