We visited on a damp Easter Sunday and were a little sceptical that it would hold our interest for the afternoon. However, as soon as we entered the park we were lucky to see a flash of iridescent blue as a kingfisher shot down the river. This raised our spirits and we then went on to see the highland 'coos'.... what a surprise. A farm in glasgow. Glasgow council are just marvelous. They have made glasgow a really welcoming place with so much green space. We were really impressed with the horses and the cows and there is allotments and plenty to see. There is a train station a few minutes up the hill from the main entrance that will... More

Lots of walks and nature trails. Good to see the heavy horses there too. Pollok house is worth a visit but expensive to get in unless you have a historic Scotland membership card.

Somehow missed all of the notifications informing us that the Burrell Collection was closed, but still had a lovely morning looking around Pollok House and grounds - even in the March rain! Some of the paths/trails could use a few more signposts or warnings as we did get a bit caught out by some serious patches of mud & puddles!

This is a beautiful park on the south side of Glasgow. Always a lot to see here. unfortunately the burrell collection is closed for refurbishment but the park itself is still worth visiting

The coffee shop is always a welcome detour when we visit the pollok estate. I can honestly say it has the best scones in the city......good service and a quirky environment. Worth a visit folks.......

This was our first visit to the house. We had booked to see Mrs Claus. The event was sold out and we were advised straight away that they were running about 30 minutes late which suited us as we hadn't eaten lunch. When we finished lunch there was a Christmas activity to complete which our son enjoyed. This involves visiting... More

This is a great old house with marvelous furnishings. The volunteers are very well informed and love to tell you about the house and its occupants. We had a great time wandering through it. Also, it is free in November!

Pollok country park is a lovely place to go a wandering, there are many walking paths you can follow depending where you enter the park. We generally park within the car park beside the Burrell Museum (which is now closed for renovation) , your walk can take you past fields of highland cattle, structured gardens, World War 1 trenches, rivers...
