My son and I enjoyed the square. Only a short and pleasant 15 minute walk from out hotel. Very close to shops and restaurants. Safe and well lit at night.

Loved the statues on the square. So much history. The Glasgow Tour bus stop is here plus Wetherspoon Restaurant is just across the street.

I was in the square many times meeting day tour buses and on my walks, but on the first trip around it on the hop on bus, they were having a rally for those who want Scottish independence. It was an unexpected bit to remember.
