My son and I enjoyed the square. Only a short and pleasant 15 minute walk from out hotel. Very close to shops and restaurants. Safe and well lit at night.

Just by Queen Street Station The square has a magnificent backdrop of buildings and contains many statues of famous Scots. Enjoyed walking around the statues and listening to the piper. Also a bus stop for the Glasgow Tour. Currently undergoing some renovation at Queen Street...More

Loved the statues on the square. So much history. The Glasgow Tour bus stop is here plus Wetherspoon Restaurant is just across the street.

During Our Visit there was a Protest wanting to have Scotland leave the United Kingdom. The Protestors were Active but very Pleasant and Polite. I Loved the Square lots of Resturants and nearby was the Museum of Modern Art. We enjoyed Our Visit

I was in the square many times meeting day tour buses and on my walks, but on the first trip around it on the hop on bus, they were having a rally for those who want Scottish independence. It was an unexpected bit to remember.
