Having read some of the one and two star reviews we were almost tempted no to bother, however, we tend to make our own minds up. Fabulous cakes and a decent coffee. The reason for going is to watch the wildlife whilst enjoying sumptuous cake. Never seen 6 red squirrels simultaneously before, plus loads of birds (including woodpecker). Staff were... More

We stopped into the cake shop after a trip to the Frank Bruce Sculpture Trail. Expecting a good selection of cakes did not prepare us for the huge selection of cakes on offer! Home baked deliciousness! In addition to this we could have our coffee and cake whilst looking out onto the trees with a multitude of feeders so watched... More

This is the second time we have visited here. The cake quality and selection is amazing. Needless to say I had two again on this visit. Tea and coffee served per pot with nice china cups and a slice of cake that would hold a door open. Prices what you get are fantastic. The view out to the bird feeders... More

Visited this tearoom after finding it when looking for a plant nursery. Brilliant find. Had a fantastic slice of cake and enjoyed a pot of tea from a very good selection of teas. Sat in a window seat (stool actually) to watch the many types of small birds feeding then to cap it all two red squirrels. Could of sat... More

Don't lose your nerve on the narrow and winding road, it's well worth a visit. The cakes are fantastic - bird and red squirell viewing is great - and the service is very pleasant..

Rustic, setting, amazing Scandinavian style cakes, teas and coffees served in china cups. Seasonal crafts and decorations on sale as well as alpine plants. Viewing gallery to see abundance of wild birds and red squirrels while you tuck into your cake.

we came here for coffee and cake as have been before and the cakes are awesum. We were treated to not only lots of birds to watch on the feeding table but several squirrels, we sat watching them for ages. The cake was great as usual I love the cream and peanut cake.

Not only do they have the best cakes, while enjoying them you can watch the Red Squirrels and wild birds through the large viewing windows. On your way out you can buy your plants.
