Steam through the stunning Scottish Highlands in style. Our steam engines take you on a very special trip through the Cairngorms National Park as you travel between Aviemore, Boat of Garten and Broomhill. Why not make your trip extra special with one of our dining on board options: Light Lunch offers soup, sandwiches, tea and coffee; Afternoon Tea has some sandwiches, scones with jam and cream followed by some delicious cakes; or enjoy a full three course Sunday Lunch or Dinner. Why not upgrade to First Class to enjoy a meal in one of our compartments, finely decorated in it's own tartan, with vintage British Rail mirrors and luggage racks inside.Split your trip up with a visit to Boat of Garten to explore some fantastic walk trails or bring your bike on board to explore the great cycle routes in the area. See if you can beat the train back from Broomhill on your bike!We are also taking part in the Great Railway Treasure Hunt 2013, so there's plenty for the kids to do on the trip!

Every aspect of the evening was a special, magical and memorable experience. The food, excellent from start to finish . The staff could not have been more helpful and friendly, and the journey itself was just perfect. Such a lovely relaxing way to spend an evening, and one in which I highly recommend. Will I book again ... Its already... More

Beautiful views of Speyside and interesting to see the steam engine in action. The in journey ticket attendant was a customer friendly very happy guy! It felt like travelling back in time- the old fashioned signage at the various stops reminiscent of an era gone by. All in all this whole experience was value for money and I would recommend... I travelled all the way from england to see the scottish countryside with my friends who have a 1 year old. The only seating that was available on the train was covered in dog hair. Despite the staff being very enthusiastic i feel £14 per person to be sat on a hairy seat for 90mins, with no complimentary tea or... More

Enjoyed stean hauled journey from Aviemore to Broomhill and return in sunny weather - great scenery. Sandwiches and cake on the train were tasty and good value.

Even without a break it is 1 hour 40 minutes on this delightful round trip. As a carer I was delighted to find the usual £12.50 adult fare was free for the carer and the individual also went for a greatly reduced rate, too! Leaving us plenty of money to buy the DVD!

Took the return from Aviemore station with the light lunch option. Unfortunately we picked a day of constant rain so the scenery was not as great as it could have been but it it was still a nice journey to take with some interesting sights along the way. When you get to Broomhill you have some time to visit the... More

If you're into steam engines, then this is for you. Just sit back and enjoy the tranquility only a steam engine can give. The frequent puff of smoke as it drifts by the window, the gentle clink of the track whilst enjoying the views of the Cairngorm's. Ah!!! Beautiful. The shop in the platform was quite expensive as we bought... More

We really enjoyed our first class journey, the staff were wonderful and very attentive! The cabin was lovely and clean and really comfortable! Only downside is that we wish there was more savoury food than sweet but that could just be individual preference!

The station is lovely, the trains and journey really nice. Make sure you check in advance that it is running. Well worth the effort

A great experience and a good way to look at some of Scotland's countryside. This is a must do if you are in the area
