Golf in the Spey Valley

Lovely course but be warned, it is long. It can be over 7 miles in length if you play down the middle of the fairway. Who does that !!!! Really suggest you take a buggy. The... read more

Lovely course but be warned, it is long. It can be over 7 miles in length if you play down the middle of the fairway. Who does that !!!! Really suggest you take a buggy. The course was in very good condition. Not at all wet although it had rained heavily the day before. Not a cheap course to play.... More

One of the most beautiful golf courses you will ever play, situated just outside Aviemore in the Scottish Highlands with stunning views of the Cairngorm Mountains. Classy new clubhouse which fits in with the surroundings and the superb staff make it a must visit for any golfer.

Got to enjoy Spey Valley on a warm April day. The course layout is challenging and you can appreciate why this is a championship course - bunkers and other hazards really well positioned, but good shots will be rewarded. The greens did not look great and were a little bumpy, but it's very early in the season for a course... More

Helped by stunning weather, we returned for another great golfing experience at Spey Valley. New clubhouse now open, good food and excellent service form the staff. Limited but adequate driving range (£2 for 30 range balls). New buggies and stunning layout of a great golf course. Worth the long trip and while it is never under a 4 hour round... More

Just completed a fantastic days golf a Spey Valley Golf Course The Dave Thomas designed 7300 yard course is a masterpiece. All of us playing are single figure golfers and we all agreed that if this course we're nearer a main airport it would be used by the Pro Tours There is not a weak hole on the course and... More

We were visiting for Ryder Cup and made a trip on up to Spey Valley. There was enough challenge in the course, but nothing silly. Weather was excellent so of course the views and scenery were wonderful. The pro shop and clubhouse staff were very professional and friendly. One tip: if you drive your ball into the heather - do... Great course with fantastic views which we were lucky enough to play in beautiful weather. Have now played a few times but first time we have used the new clubhouse. It is fantastic and pro shop staff very friendly but we were disappointed at lack of food service. We had morning tee times but when we came in just after... More

14 of our party played Spey Valley Golf Course on 060614. Course was long and varied, greens true and scenery amazing. The new club house is well laid out and service excellent. If you do not hire a buggy be prepared to come of the course tired but happy, a long walk between some greens and the next tee but... More

First things first, I am a high handicap golfer so I cannot comfortably comment on how challenging this course is. Fabulous setting with great views however the greens are in appalling condition and the bunkers appear to be mostly GUR. If like like to walk, that's great as the stroll from green to tee on a number of the holes... More
