This museum, tucked behind the Information Center, had information about the geology and early people of the area. It was well-presented.

The museum is located in the town centre. It contains interesting, informative displays about Highland history and pre-history. Child friendly and a good value cafe.

Great museum full of displays giving lots of information about Scotland and Inverness and the Highlands in particular. The museum is free (although donations are very welcome) and is an excellent way to spend a couple of hours.

You must visit this gem of a museum and art gallery. Well worth the visit. The permanent exhibition of the highlands is great and the touring exhibits are wonderful.
