Spend a few hours wandering around Inverness and around the shopping area and the River Ness before doing a road trip around Loch Ness. Worth a walk around the Castle which has some interesting history and is now used as a court. The eateries are...More

Our hotel room overlooked the river, and we enjoyed a walk along the riverbank, very pretty tree lined area.

We were on a Rabbie's tour bus with our guide Helen. She had a lot of information about the area and the River Ness. This place is absolutely stunning. We did not stop but I would highly recommend you do!

Lovely walk along the River Ness which is very peaceful and tranquil. Inverness is a nice city and has lots of places to eat and drink. The river runs through the city centre and offers lots of walks along the banks.

I would recommend a river cruise. Other than Nessie there are a lot of nice views and other interesting bits of history along the Loch.

Strolled down into Inverness and took pictures of the castle and the churches from the main high street bridge.
