Where is Mr. Pringle ?

Our tour group leader brought us to the Pringle store. It would have been nice to have learned something about the life and times of the people that worked here. There are some... read more

Went for visit today and decided to go to cafe for cup of tea and roll (11:00). After waiting for about 10 mins eventually got served by what I can only describe as a very rude person. She took our order (1 X bacon roll and 1 X poached egg on toast) then we asked for 2 coffees. She got... More

I love shopping at James Pringle. Quality products and a huge range of stock at great prices. The staff are excellent, so helpful in every respect. The restaurant is good too, always enjoyed the food and service. The high tea on Thursday night is really lovely, the cakes are delicious. We've been shopping at Pringles for many years, love it.

Our tour group leader brought us to the Pringle store. It would have been nice to have learned something about the life and times of the people that worked here. There are some historic exhibits and some are very good. They could really make this a worthwhile stop by adding a guided historical tour in addition to the shopping. If... More

What people don't realise is that this was a weaving business founded by James Pringle, an Invernessian. It is NOT, nor does it pretend to be, anything to do with the James Pringle based in the Borders. But if people want to think it is, then let them. It was a family business until recently when Edinburgh Woolen Mill took... More

We were recommended by am assistan t in nearby supermarket as a place to get coffee. We went a couple of times, but it's a strange place. Food OK but a bit dry but drinks and food all served nicely on proper china. shop an old emporium with overpriced assorted old fashioned items.

We went to try to find tartan, but the two tartans we wanted they did not have in stock. But the gentleman that helped us was very nice and apologetic about not being able to find what we were looking for and instead gave us the information for the person he buys from, so that we could continue our search... Not sure what to make of this little place. Usual fayre of clothes, odds and ends, and ! model trains ! So and interesting mix. But it's out of the way, so I'm guessing it's more for coach trips and the locals that live in the area. However, a pleasant visit.

Normally we like visiting this place, and I always make my family come here when we're in Inverness. For this reason I give 2 stars. Based on today's visit alone? It would be getting one at most! After some browsing In the retail section, we went to the restaurant for lunch. This was one of the worst dining experiences I've... More
