We came here because the sign outside indicated traditional Scottish music. Bar tenders confirmed it would happen. We waited and nothing. Very popular place. Very nice bartenders.

This is a really great bar. It was full of Cally fans singing and dancing just after they’d been relegated. The bar is long and thin. The manager in Fairways had recommended that we go down to the back of the bar as it’d be less congested yet still hear the music. This was a good call as it was... More

Called in for drinks. Nice little pub, centrally located. Good banter with the bar staff, great choice of beers and a really good atmosphere. Well worth a visit

My husband and I visited on a Wednesday when the band was playing. We're middle aged Americans who enjoy trad music and a drink. But the crowd was a bit rough and certainly not friendly. The band was very loudly amplified. We left and found somewhere we liked better (Hootenanny).

Been trying to see this pub for a long time, since I heard about it from friends in America and England. Now I know why they love it so. Great, welcoming atmosphere and lovely, reasonably priced food. Had to go during the day because of my transport arrangements but nothing was too much trouble for the efficient staff and a... More

Used to be a great bar. It then decided to brand itself as a Yesser / Indy bar and many patrons including myself have never returned. Absolutely terrible decision to politicise a business in that way. You reap what you sow.

Gellions Bar is an excellent place to meet new friends from all over the world . The music is good and varies from traditional Scottish to rock. Staff very friendly.

Popped in on Sunday night - the pub was very busy after Loch Ness Etape but clientele seemed to be more local. The singer was very good (and loud!) but unfortutnatelyhe finished his set shortly after we went in! .We managed to get a seat in a small lounge area at the back. Not sure what happened to cause it... More

Thanks for the review, it was a good day, you guys doing the Etape well done to you all, unfortunately although I don't think it was football orientated there was a Ranges v Celtic game early kick off so some people maybe had to much to drink, the minority spoil it for the majority, customers safety and experience is our... The music from the band Schehallion is the most beautiful traditional music in Scotland today. The Singers voice is rich and outstanding, the violin spirited and talented, backed by deft and upbeat accordian. The music makes you want to dance sing and party all night. The crowd, craic and banter are second to none. This is scotland at its best.We keep going back again and again.
