Set on the outskirts of the city of Inverness, Torvean Golf Course is a joy...

Set on the outskirts of the city of Inverness, Torvean Golf Course is a joy to play. Overlooking the historic Caledonian Canal and River Ness, the course comprises approximately 400 acres of well-maintained mature parkland with geologically important Torvean Hill being the central feature. It is a registered SSSI (Site of Special Scientific Interest). We are lucky to be able to share our course with some of the abundance of local wildlife with deer, red squirrel, hares and rabbits a common site, along with the odd otter! Swans, ducks and even red kites have set up home at Torvean.

Great course and very friendly

This is a great course in Inverness - real mix of testing par 3's, short to medium par 4's and a few Par 5's thrown in. The course is in tremendous condition - fairways superb... read more

Visited here at start of the month with a group of mates on a long weekend for birthday celebrations. We had a fun day golfing here, course is reasonable mix of holes and was in decent condition, got a good deal to play and enjoyed our day with sun shining. Clubhouse was a bit disappointing, staff were a bit "off"... More

This is a great course in Inverness - real mix of testing par 3's, short to medium par 4's and a few Par 5's thrown in. The course is in tremendous condition - fairways superb, and greens excellent and fast. Fairways can be a bit tight as can the greens, but a fairly generous course suitable to all levels of... More

A wet day but the course held up well. The course was in great condition even with the rain and the fairways and greens superb! The meal was very good and I found this a really friendly club . I have played this course before and as always enjoyed it and the company with the local Seniors. Thanks for a... More

It is extremely hard to find rude staff in Scotland but here you will find it. Without getting into any details, this is a locals course and they are not keen on visitors. Also, it's not cheap, they want 45 pounds, and I did not play the course because the lady in the pro shop rubbed me the wrong way,... More

Lovely golf course which I would recommend you try before it is redesigned. We played on a Sunday, having booked a tee time some time ahead. Sundays can be busy. We were accommodated without any trouble. At £35 each it was not inexpensive but the course really was worth it. Very interesting holes and the greens in excellent condition. There... More

Played here on a cracking day with the sun shining. Decent shop and driving range facilities available. Watch out for the 14th, a brute of a hole

Played here on 10th August on a lovely sunny morning during a holiday to the area. The fairways were lush and the greens nice and smooth. Coming from a links course it was to get a bit of grass under the ball. At about 5500 yards from the yellow tees it's not too long a walk but it does have... More

Played Torvean GC 15th May 2015. Course was good for time of year though a bit bland on some holes at the start of the round. Hospitality very good. For the money it's worth a go.

this is a decent small local course however the welcome at the starters office was poor, not interested in making visitors welcome more interested talking with members who hang around.
