We took the guided tour of the distillery and learned about how scotch whisky is made. It was about an hour tour with one free tasting at the end.

My family and I aren't whiskey drinkers but as we were already visiting Ben Nevis we decided to pop in. It was just my family on the tour. The guide was really informative and enthusiastic. We all left loving our experience.

didnt you get told on arrival the distillery isnt in production??? its called "silent season" when barley from last year is finished - this years crop isnt harvested - or see the A3 size notice in different langiages at reception to notify all visitors of this siituation common to most distilleries. they dont do( and have never done) a 4 year single malt. If you are going to review make it accurate or its a pointless exercise. This is one of my favourite distilleries and have visited it several times.

How much time should we plan for the tour and tasting? I see that they close at 6pm when we are visiting & would like to be one of the last tours of the day. Thank you!
