The museum is located just off the main shopping street in Fort William, and surprisingly it was free. The museum does except small donations by visitors for its upkeep, and we were more than happy to leave a contribution, given how good the museum was....More

Stumbled across this whilst visiting Fort William and found it very interesting. It contained lots of information about the local area. Free to enter and the staff were very helpful.

Lots to look at, as well as some interesting things that I did not know about Fort William. There are weapons and clothing from the Jacobite period

What a wonderful museum ! There's loads of interesting displays and exhibits ,it's very well set out and well worth a visit!! The Commando section was especially good.

This is a must-see if you are in Fort William. Very informative, great staff, lots of fascinating history here. Free museum, with many excellent exhibits.
