Due to typical Scottish winter weather (dampish to very damp at the end of December), Raymond had to be extra clever showing us around. We still enjoyed hikes each day, saw innumerable amazing waterfalls, made a drive-thru Glasgow on our way to Loch Lomond and Glencoe, and saw a good amount of Perthshire and the Highlands. All this mainly along back country roads while Raymond regaled us with interesting histories of Clans, battles, castles and all sorts of details only a native Scotsman would know. On top of this, Raymond’s own personal history is quite fascinating. If you are lucky enough to have Raymond as your tour guide, ask him about my “miracle cell phone”. Thank you, again, Raymond! We spent the day with Raymond on January 3, 2020 and it will be a day never forgotten. Raymond is extremely knowledgeable about Scotland as well as very entertaining. We spent our day in the Perth area where many of my ancestors had lived. Found the grave of my ggg grandfather in Kinfauns which was a very special moment. My only wish would have been to have more time with our wonderful host. If you plan to tour Scotland look no further than Mcintosh Tours !!

My husband made a reservation for a 3 Day Highland Tour with McIntosh Tours for our family of 4 adults during our stay in Scotland from 3 -5 Oct. On the morning of 3 Oct we were met by Raymond at our hotel in Edinburgh. He was our tour guide throughout our trip to the beautiful countryside. The 3 day itinerary was suggested and planned between my husband and Victoria who is the Sales and Marketing Director. She tried to accommodate our suggestions in the proposed itinerary which was very proficient and considerate of her. We stayed 2 nights at different locations at the Isle of Skye, both of which were arranged by Victoria. The hotels were quaint and beautiful. We had breakfast and dinner at both of the hotels and we found the food served were fresh and appetising. Our tour ended on 5 Oct with Raymond giving us a quick tour of the Old Town of Edinburgh which has many beautiful heritage buildings. Throughout the 3 days, we found Raymond to be a careful and competent driver. He has a wealth of knowledge of the places we visited and also possess a knack of being able to guide us to take beautiful photos which makes the trip a memorable one for our family. We will not hesitate to recommend McIntosh Tours to our friends should they plan a trip to Scotland.

I so enjoyed our custom-made tour of Scotland with Raymond McIntosh. It was perfect in so many ways. The tour was actually in July 2018 and we were a 6 person group with a combination of cousins-sisters-aunt-mother-daughter. (Not July 2019 with friends as it states above). We gave him a rough outline of some sights we wanted to see along with visiting our ancestral hometown and he put together an amazing 6-day tour complete with castle tours, ferry rides, dining reservations, overnights at quaint inns and hotels and so much more! Some favorite memories would be: 1. The music in his vehicle complemented our location (ie: The Beatles “Isle of Kintyre” playing as we drove south on the Isle of Kintye...) 2. Our hike to the Fairy Pools on the Isle of Skye where (always a gentleman in his kilt) Raymond helped a small child cross over a stream and helped us find the perfect “pool” for our swim. 3. Raymond was so patient with our crazy group. He pulled over whenever we wanted to stop and take pictures of wooly coo’s, waterfalls, ourselves, sheep, ourselves, etc. He hiked with us to the Campbeltown Cave Paintings and made sure we made it back before the tide came in. He answered all of our endless questions... He danced for us! He ate and drank with us! He provided us with so much interesting information about the country. Best of all, he got us to Edinburgh in time for the Military Tattoo. I highly recommend using McIntosh Tours. It was the PERFECT way for our group to see Scotland. I/we will definitely be back and plan to hire McIntosh Tours again.
