This is a nice place to play golf. A little awkward to get to However a nice wee track. A little bit expensive when compared to other courses in the area.

We played the seniors four-ball today and we're delighted with the friendly welcome, the catering, the condition of the course and the pace of the greens. Some earlier reports are unfair: if you don't want to walk to the course, don't play! I first played here about 40 years ago and today was the best I've ever seen the course.... More

We've played this "Inland Island Golf Course" 4 times on outings & always found it enjoyable but ... an ordeal to reach. It's a very long walk before you can play! We chose here because it was designed by Old Tom Morris & we're on a mission to play all courses involving him. The Course itself is ideal for outings... More

Myself and another 3 friends were able to get a golf outing booking during a regular King James golf tournament. We thought it was great that they were able to assist with this. The communication with Allan the match sec was excellent. I would recommend the course to anyone looking for a decent challenge. The course itself is quite short... More

Played here as part of a society and the course was in good condition but greens a little flat and slow. Getting to the course is a pain especially for older visitors as you need to carry your stuff up steps, across a bridge and then down other side, it takes about 15 mins to walk from public pay and... King James VI golf course is the only island golf course in Britain and one of only two in the world. It lies in the middle of the River Tay in the ancient city of Perth in Scotland. The golf club was formed in 1858 when members played over the nearby South Inch. they moved to their island course in... More

We had a great day out. Played full greens although winter ones were in operation. Condition of the course was as expected. Members of the club - very friendly. Would come back in the summer. The course is about 10 min walk from the car park (pay and display), you have to climb up the bridge which may be a... More

Getting to the Course was the worst part with trying to get a trolley up and down the stairs by the railway line. The course was good and the food in the clubhouse was basic but good. We had a bacon roll and coffee to start and were well looked after by the members. I would go back.
