Immerse yourself in Scotland's history as you experience the crowning place of Scottish kings. Enjoy the palace and its rare and beautiful collections including French furniture gifted by Marie Antoinette and bed-hangings worked on by Mary, Queen of Scots. Visited here with family, £11.50 per adult, under 5's free, you can upgrade and get a season pass for free just ask at the entrance, fill in the form and you can return for free between April and October. Lovely gardens to walk around, great area for kids to play.

In April 2017, my siblings and I stayed four nights in the apartment at Scone Palace. We also toured the Palace and spent many hours walking the beautiful grounds. For Americans, it is just plain fun to stay at a Palace, and I believe it would have been even more fun with kids. We give this place a good recommendation.

I visited here when I was in town for a conference. Overall, I think I spent slightly over an hour here, though you certainly can spend more if you wanted to explore every corner of the Ground area. The staff are in general very friendly here, and there are informative leaflets in the room if you fancy exploring on your... More

Having lived in Scotland for 38 years, it only took until we moved abroad to visit this majestical ancient palace. We could not believe how much we had missed out on until after our short, fleeting visit. Our children were intrigued as to how much had actually happened in our small country!!! The garden's were perfectly maintained and the interiors... More

Went with friends who came to Scotland with us and they thoroughly enjoyed the afternoon we spent at Scone Castle located just on the outskirts of Perth. It is important to know that this is a true palace. Although large and majestic is was not designed or built like a castle. Yes, it is made of stone and has turrets... More

Easy to find, lovely walks, great for families, play areas and picnic areas, cafe area great for lunch plenty of choices and prompt friendly service could be quite expensive if you have a large family so would recommend packed lunch as well. Beautiful peacocks roaming the grounds, did not go inside the palace as it was such a beautiful day

This palace has a full on history that was well shared by the room guides. The paintings unbelievable, the peacocks very entertaining as were the highland cows with calves called Maximilian and Caden. If you are a national trust buff in the area, pay to see it.

This is a lovely place to visit, particularly when the weather is good as the parkland surrounding the palace is beautiful. The difference we felt about here as opposed to other older properties was the feeling of homeliness. It's also very well maintained, clean and warm. The guides are a credit to the palace as they have an amazing knowledge... More

I went with my 2 teenage children. We used a voucher so got a family ticket for £15 which made it good value but wouldn't have wanted to pay full price. Also glad we brought a packed lunch as the cafe was very expensive. On the plus side the staff couldn't be faulted , there were plenty of them ,... More

We thought it was a first class visit. We thoroughly enjoyed seeing the treasures on display, but the high points for us were the four lady guides, who obviously enjoy their roles at Scone Palace and enlightened us with their knowledge, humour and enthusiasm. Alexander, the beautiful white peacock, obligingly put in an appearance too. Lovely well kept grounds and... More
