firstly the distillery is just on outskirts of the prettiest towns in the highlands.
Pitlockery is so quaint and worth a stop.
The tour is great , informative and fun. Sits on a tranquil river & is pastoral setting and greenery is relaxing
The smell if peat smoke wafting thru the air , makes this a memorable tour. Of course free samples at the end of tour & retail shop.
Love to return on day , so worth the stop !

Edradour was not originally on our roadmap but we decided to stop by while coming back from Speyside to Edinburgh. Edradour seems like a place from fairy tale - rocky river, white houses by the riverside, and everything overflown with green grass.
We had a tour with Ian. He was the best showman of all the guides we had - the distillery itself is indeed very small and the tour actually is very short, but Ian made our day :)
Ah! And remember to get a coffee or cocoa in a coffee shop - you will then get a beatiful mug with Edradour miniature on it.

I highly recommend this as a stop. It is a small distillery on beautiful grounds. The tour was very informative, and the tasting was well-presneted. We bought a bottle of their product, which we rarely do. It was excellent.

I toured the distillery with my parents and a lovely Australian family. Our tour guide very fun and knowledgeable about Edradour's history and the distillation process. The grounds are very picturesque. It looks like something out of an old movie. Nice to tour a facility that is not a factory but focused on small batch well crafted products.
The tour includes tastings, a glass and a discount at the bar where you can try a variety of their products. They also have a well stocked shop where you can buy bottles to take home.

Very small and very traditional place, wonderful and very testy whisky. 12 years or more sherry oak Edradour whisky is my favorite one. I can't wait to go again and visit Pitlochry

This was the last distillery tour we went on in our 2 week honeymoon tour of Scotland, and it was by far the best. We arrived a little late but our guide John was welcoming and endlessly entertaining. Unlike other tours you get straight down to business and start with a tasting before you look around this beautiful distillery. It's quite literally a cottage industry, with whitewashed farm buildings with red painted doors.
During the tour you get a full sized tasting glass (the one we got from Oban was much smaller) and you get to sample 2 different whiskies (or 1 whisky & a liqueur if you prefer). John was such a funny and warm guide we ended up getting his advice at the shop and bought a beautiful bottle of the cask strength 2006 single malt (this stuff is delicious).
Afterwards we went along to the bar for a few samples. The woman behind the bar was absolutely lovely and incredibly knowledgeable and we ended up staying longer than we probably should have.
If you go to one distillery tour in Scotland, I highly recommend you go to Edradour.

We were looking forward to visiting this distillery while in Scotland since it had been recommended to us. We didn’t want to do the tour, since we had already done one elsewhere. We asked if we could just do a tasting like other distilleries in the area. They said no, and walked away. The German woman was not helpful or friendly at all. We went back down the hill to Blaire Athol distillery where they have a beautiful tasting bar and they could not have been nicer. The bartender made drink for me and added extra maple syrup since I don’t normally drink whiskey! We even met an employee of Edradour there, who could not have been nicer and we told him of our experience. Would not recommend anyone to go there even though it is quaint and pretty. Needless to say, we came home with several bottles of whiskey and glasses!!

A lovely distillery not as large as some of the others but I liked the fact that it wasn’t as big, we didn’t have time for a tour but hopefully we can do this another time. Very helpful and extremely friendly staff and a lovely little resident cat!! My husband purchased a really nice bottle of whisky.... well they were all really nice!!

Hi,
We didn't take the tour, just came to the place and went to the shop.
The web site says they are closing at 5pm and the last tour starts 1 hour prior to closing. So I think you should be able to book at 4pm.
The best way to make a reservation is to send them an email as there are no phone numbers neither on Google nor on their web site.
Good luck!

I think about 250,000, to put that in perspective, the distillery around the corner, Blair Athol, produces that in a week.
