I was informed that the Castle is currently not available to visitors,seeming the sale mentioned by others fell though but the current owner has removed the furniture and is looking for a buyer. The railway is also closed.Seems a pity.

The castle appears to be permanently closed and is up for sale I believe. You can look round the gardens but at £5.50 pp this seemed too expensive so we left !
