This walk has all for the irish eastern island experience. There is a footbridge, benches by a lake to sandwich coffee or lunch and forest walks. I visited on a rainy day which had a dull feel to it but still enjoyable and held a quaint energy but I imagine this place comes alive on a sunny day. Highly Recommended

Footpaths much improved for walking. Different lengths of walks. Most enjoyable . Fishing can be carried out in the lake. Great place to bring your dog for a walk

Lots of different woodland walks including a lake, castle and streams. Wet under foot (this is Ireland) but well worth a visit

I regularly visit Dromore Woods for peace and quiet. I find it truly magical. I go at times when there are few people, but because the forest is big, you can always be on your own there. Highly recommended.

Dromore wood is a wonderful facility near Ruan /Tubber in north Clare about twenty minutes drive from Ennis into the countryside towards the Burren. There is a lakeside walk and a ruined castle all offering great photo opportunities. A very pleasant place to walk the dog on a dry day and get back in touch with nature.

Did 2 of the walks the first day we went here, the castle walk & the rabbit island walk, both were very enjoyable & well marked so easy to follow. There were numbered markers along the way but as the info centre was closed we had no idea what we were supposed to be looking at. The next day we... More

And I say this because nothing in the woods has been touched, tidied up or added to make this place appear any better than it is. Situated just a couple of miles outside Ennis, there is a big car park and information centre with maps and guide poles to help you find your way around the many nature trails. Not... More

A very peaceful and beautiful place to walk and take in nature with the children the trees have such stunning colours at this time of year and it's perfectly layed out with plenty of walks. I really liked it as it's accessible for all levels of walkers and is very clean and safe for the children.

Total mindfulness strikes one at Dromore. The majesty of the trees, the quiet waters and the boats but most specially the sound of children laughing as they make their way through the many nature trails. Water, wind, birds, trees, honey bees, flowers, shrubs and lots and lots more. Perfect for hiking or fishing from the shore. Bliss
