St Mary's Dominican church is a knock out for its beautiful architecture and artistry as a place of worship. The majesty of its exterior and interior is exceptional. It is worth a visit to see what Roman Catholics built in the early 19th century after hundreds of years having their religion suppressed by the English.

This is a functioning Dominican church. Within, you can see the marble pillars that were initially intended to be the organ gallery of St Pauls cathedral in London. There is a lovely shrine to the right of the main altar, Our Lady of Graces. Well worth a visit

Majestic building overlooking the river RiveLee just a small walk from city centre. A wonderful temple to God constructed between 1832 and 1839 with the portico and apse built later on in that century. It was designed by a local architect Kearns Deane a Protestant who gave his services free to the Dominican Fathers, which indeed shows the great respect... More

While in town recently with my Mother we decided to visit St Mary's church. It was quite at the time as it was between mass times. The altar is beautiful and the ceilings are magnificent. It was a nice peaceful experience and hopefully we will make mass the next time.

We were in Cork on a pilgrimage and visited several churches. We came to St Mary as a result of a misunderstanding, thinking this was where we were to have mass! But that's another story. We wandered about and marveled at teh beautiful statuary and appointments. The Main Altar is very beautiful and I was taken with the statues of... More

Beautiful church, which is a place of living worship. Lovely organ gallery with pillars that were made originally for St Pauls cathedral in London. Stunning altar of devotion to St Mary of Graces

Nice church, didn't get to go to Mass there but it was nice praying there after a long day exploring Cork. It is probably the oldest continuously Catholic church in Cork, although not as historic as the now-Anglican Cathedrals of St Anne's and St Fin Barr's.

A Greek Revival masterpiece in a bautiful setting on Pope's Quay. Definitely worth going inside, unlike the Franciscan church.

This is a lovely church on Popes Quay, Cork with an impressive exterior along the Quay. A nice church to visit in the heart of the city.
