Wonderful tour of Kinsale with deep history

The tour was intimate - and very informative of not just the history of Kinsale, but of the region and all of Ireland.

This was a wonderful tour and a steal for 8 Euros. Jack was funny, engaging , knowledgeable and passionate about the history of Cork City. His colorful presentation made Irish history easy to understand and how it relates to Ireland today. He also pointed out restaurants and night spots to visit. The tour included a walk through the English Market.... More

Myself, my aunt and cousin took this tour along with approx 15 other people. Jack was our tour guide and did a faultless job. He was well versed with the history of Cork City and had great antidotes and stories of places & people along the way. He also gave us great recommendations for bars and restaurants to go to... I forget the name of the gentleman who did the tour, but he was excellent. He mad the city come alive in a bygone era. His knowledge of the city was impressive, and he had lots of interesting bits of history he incorporated into his tour.

Jack was well versed in the history of Ireland and Cork and had many inserting story's and anecdotes to inrush us with. How ever we did feel the stops on the tour were not... More

I was in Cork City in early May 2014 and knew I needed some insight into the place so chose to go on a tour with Cork City Walks. It turned out that I was the only one on the tour as it was so early in the tourist season. But that didn't faze my tour guide, Jack Sheill, who... More

I enjoyed this tour, but had a hard time understanding some of what the gentleman was saying. I think I caug maybe 60% of it. I did learn a lot about the history or the city and buildings which was very interesting. Price is fantastic, can't be beat for a couple hours

I was fortunate to have an afternoon to myself in Cork with nothing planned except some shopping. I knew the city about 30 years ago but never really found out too much about it. After popping in to the Tourist Office, I saw that I was just in time for the 2pm walk at an absolute steal of a price... More
