We had a very pleasant time at the bar this evening having joined friends staying the night at the hotel. However moments after our hosts left the bar, the 'manager' Daniel, ordered us out in a very rude manor. I think 'stuck up' are the words I'm after. Pleasant bar staff and nice place but there are ways to say... More

We were in Cork for a 50th Wedding Anniversary and staying in The Metropole Hotel. We decided to have a drink at the bar before heading out for a meal but on checking the bar food menu at The Met Bar we decided to stay and eat there. We were not disappointed, the food and the service were both very... More

Very very poor service. We waited for our starters more than an hour. My partner got his 15 minutes before me. Then again 40 minutes to get the main meal. It wasn't busy, everybody seemed to wait long... Food didn't worth the long wait. Very disapointing. We won't go back again No ambiance at all

I met a friend for lunch in The Met Cafe Bar recently . It was not very busy. The staff were nice and friendly. We both had soup and sandwiches. The soup was lovely homemade and tasty. The sandwiches were fresh and delicious. There was a. nice atmosphere. We had a nice catch up and we enjoyed our lunch.

This is now LaTrattoria. To begin with I have seldom had such poor service. Our drinks arrived after our food and even then only after two reminders. To be honest, I do not remember what we ordered but I do know that my first mouthful was so salty. Judit, who usually adds salt to everything, tasted it and it too... More

We booked into the Metropole for 5nights. We were upgraded to a large room as we needed a cot for our baby. We had room service one night&ate in the bar the second night. Food was gorgeous especially the Thai curry, Caesar salad&gourmet burger. Location is fantastic everything on your doorstep. We used the leisure facilities the baby pool needed... More
