Description:

A beautiful 3 acre garden with amazing designs and fun for all the family...

A beautiful 3 acre garden with amazing designs and fun for all the family in West Cork, including a Hobbit House and Fairies Trail. This 3 acre garden is full of surprises with each garden style flowing into the next. The front garden contains a sunken white garden, an Italianate canal and a Japanese garden. The boundary wisteria walk opens out into the bog garden and woodland area, from where you can continue to the tea house to enjoy a view of the Mediterranean and tropical gardens. Wander over the birch mound, which is surrounded by the wildflower meadow, into the walled kitchen garden to view the seasonal vegetables. The kids will have great fun visiting the Hobbit House built right through the birch mound or searching for the fairy houses in the Fairies woods. View the Budgies, Parakeets, Finches, Ducks and Chickens in the Aviary.

I chose to go while my son was visiting from the UK with his wife and children (1 and 2 years old). We were completely amazed and delighted. We were so lucky to have it more or less to ourselves on a warm Friday afternoon. The toddlers particularly enjoyed the fish ponds, the fairy houses (dotted all around the place),... More

This garden is a treat for all ages. Deceptive from the outside, but a good deceptive as you have no idea of the sheer amount on display once you enter. The hobbit house is the cherry on top in my opinion along with the various birds and of course the pygmy goats Tom & Jerry! Compared to other gardens I've... More

My wife suggested visiting Glenview, I knew nothing about it beforehand but was really pleased with the visit. A really nice garden which kept my 6 year old busy while we were there. He loved the Hobbit house and birds. Well worth a visit, if you can bring a picnic as there is plenty of places to sit and eat.

Spent a lovely afternoon here with our 2 daughters (12 and 9 years old). The place is a little deceptive as it doesn't look great from the outside. However once you get inside you'll discover some beautifully planned and cared for gardens. Couple of nice picnic sports can be found and the Hobbit House is absolutely amazing! Kids spent hours... I visited Glenview gardens with my 13 year old cousin, who was on holidays from the UK. We went to see the Hobbit House. I thought that would be the main feature of the gardens and we would spend about 15 minutes there. I was completely wrong. The gardens themselves are amazing! There are lots of different areas to explore... More

Visited Glenview gardens with inlaws and kids last weekend. The weather was great which is a must for a visit to Glenview. The hobbit house is first class, and was the one think the kids enjoyed exploring. The gardens themselves are very well laid out and I am sure if you interested in gardening you would appreciate it a lot... More
