we liked to visit this Cathedral it is not a real big one. But it is nice and bright we like all churces. The altar with its statue inside was realy nice.

132 steps up on the Shannon Bells, and you get to ring them... what fun! I loved this walk up. This is a must do for anyone visiting Cork

to see a church that has stood the time, it is well worth a visit. its just a five minute walk from the city centre

My husband is partially sighted and we were amazed at how light and bright this church was. I loved the modern stained glass windows and the lovely peaceful atmosphere.

The Cathedral is the oldest of the two Cathedrals in the city. The Cathedral which is of neo-gothic revilalist design was originally built in 1828 but was partially destroyed in the same year by fire. It was then reconstructed and re-opened in 1828. As well...More

the exterior is almost medieval, or protestant church-like... inside i was surprised by the very modern decor and the quality of the light. the baptismal font is set in a very modern yet very medieval setting... must see

It corks Catholic cathedral a stones throw from Shannon on corks north side it is a beautiful church on the outside but inside it now a modern church you would have to judge for yourself
