One of my favourite scenic walk places of anywhere! Breathtaking views of sandy tranquil beaches at the edge of the forest. My advice, go and experience this place which is steeped in history. Beautifull Lough Lilly on way in to car park.A gem at the end of deep Sheephaven bay.

We visited here with our three boys and our dog. We paid €5 parking and spent a while walking in the woods. Lots of people there as it was Easter Monday but on the walk we ventured on we didn't meet too many people. Toilet facilities on site but couldn't find a picnic bench or a bin???

The park is a lovely day out for all ages. Beautiful walking paths, a nice playground for the kids and a spectacular beach.

We have visited Ards Forest Park on many occasions and it has always struck us how few people ever go there. No wonder they have increased the parking to €5! It is a beautiful place in any weather and believe me we've been in all sorts. Beautiful forest walks and long sandy beaches.

Lovely park. You only need to pay if you have kids or unable to walk far otherwise u can just park on roadside and enter for free. Lacking a bit in Park benches and bins

Went back to this park for the first time in about 6 or 7 years. Was great to see there is still a lot of investment going into the park which was evident in the clean toilets and park. Made sure to have 5 euro coins on us to get in and went on the Nature trail which was a... More

We parked up at Ards Friary (which is free) and walked towards the headland on the left of the monastery. What a beautiful place, golden sand beaches, clear water. We chose shells from the beach for the Mary to give, and the children clambered over the rocks at the end of the point. We walked back and had coffee and... More

We visited this Forest Park beside the Atlantic in August. It has a good choice of walks for various levels of fitness. There are picnic tables and a good outside playground for kids. You need to have the exact coinage to get through the electronic barrier (no notes or cards accepted). If you go onto the beach, keep an eye... More

We were very fortunate to have a gloriously sunny day for our visit and we had a fabulous day at the Forest Park. Thankfully, unlike the woman in front of my car, we'd read Barry T's review about having €5 in coins as it's an unmanned coin operated ticket machine entrance. We headed for the main beach as our base... More
