Tirconnell Street | The Old Station House, Donegal Town 00000, Ireland
You can tell they are trying to do their best to capture the historical significance of the Donegal Train Station. Lots of old photos and articles and a neat little video. Worth a stop if you are into train history.
It is only a small little place, a few carriages outside then a few small rooms inside, one showing a film about the railway. Lots of information and pictures, and a model railway in the entrance but it is only really interesting for someone who...More
This museum has a fantastic collection of artifacts and memorabilia about the railroads that once existed in Donegal. We had no idea that such lines existed until we saw a reproduction of a vintage poster in a book store last year and we surprised to...More
This was not an immediate attraction due to its low key visibility. But what a great place for information about the railway history of this area. No entrance fee and reliant on donations. After an hour looking at the comprehensive displays and excellent video, spent...More

If you are a railway buff this is well worth visiting. Set in the old railway station there is plenty of memorabilia with some old cine film from the 1950s. Five Euro entry fee includes tea or coffee - you can’t do better.
