I have been going here for years and availing of everything the place has to offer. From their café & bar, to their shop and cinema, I have experienced them all and enjoyed them tremendously. This is a great place and a fantastic way to support Irish and independent films from all over the world. If you are a local,... More

We came here twice, first to see historic newsreels then again for an evening meal the last night of our week in Dublin. Both were very enjoyable, the restaurant particularly. Opening direct off the inner covered courtyard, it managed to be both spacious and intimate; you felt among friends. The food was first-rate and while the service wasn't rapid, that... More

Ohhh the IFI. This is my go-to theater in town. They usually have such a refreshing selection of films. I always stop by for a weekly schedule. I always enjoy the experience of watching a film here. Maybe more enjoyable for the more serious film goers, but all is welcome. There's a nice little film and book shop on site... More

Although we didn't actually see a film here, we did visit and have a drink in the cafe. A great place to sit, away from the bustle of Temple Bar and always an interesting selection of films being shown.

The IFI has a full schedule (11 a.m. or noon to 11 or so at night) of foreign, independent, and classic films and a pleasant little shop, in addition to its cafe. I stopped in to see a new French film (one that's taken 8 months to reach my small college town in the U.S.) on a rainy night; had... More

I arrived on Sunday afternoon to view a film I had pre-booked online. On arrival, with my Mum, the familiar setting was still as welcoming. Remembering my first visit( over 15 years ago), the nostalgic atmoshere overwhelmed me yet again. As I checked out the amenities, such as the extensive cafe menu, covering all apettites from substantial hot/cold dishes to... More

I enjoyed the gin Collins cocktails with elderflower. Burgers very filling. An overall enjoyable evening with prices reasonable.

Top of the line national cultural film institution in Dublin's Temple Bar area. A multi-theater cinema perfect for small audience viewing recent movie releases daily. The IFI houses a film archive in which one can make special arrangements to personally view a given archived file title. Staff is extremely accommodating. Movie tickets are reasonably priced. Books, DVDs and other movie... More
