This a modern art most of the time I spend asking the question why is this art. I found this museum had more art that looked like art. Do not forget the gardens next to the museum.

I don't really regret going, the historic old building is very impressive. It's just a flat out shame that they're using it to display such an ugly collection of paintings. After 30-60 minutes, I still hadn't found a single attractive painting. I guess modern art...More

Let’s get this out of the way. Staff on front desk, etc. are somewhere north of friendly. They are okay but charisma is a foreign country to them. We went to see the Freud/yeats exhibit which was fabulous but staff could have been more helpful....More

I wasn't impressed by the "modern" art at the IMMA. It couldn't hold my attention and all seemed so pretentous. But the Dublin Pass gave free access to the Lucian Freud centre, and they had a good Freud/Yeats exhibit that made up for the lacklustre...More
